My Wenger is not your Wenger; find yours!

Mesut Ozil: Wenger believes in him

My Wenger is not your Wenger; find yours!

Few days after I wrote the “Everybody needs an Arsenal to believe in them like Mesut!” which is about how we all need people that will believe enough in us, I came across another player of Arsenal which has left the emirate stadium to Roma to continue his football career, saying that Arsene Wenger, the club’s esteemed manager that gave Ozil the faith he needed, did not believe in him enough! I was dazed! But there it dawn on me that, my Wenger might not be another’s Wenger!

Gervinho: could have been better had Wenger believes in him
Gervais Yao Konassi popularly known as Gervinho is a tricky direct attacking midfielder, whose has major strength in dribbling with high accurate short passes. He was sign from Lille football club of Ligue 1 in France, in 2011 after helping Lille win the Ligue 1, and even helped in their being crown coupe de France that same year, unforgettable was his semifinal goal against Nice. On getting to arsenal his first appearance was a pre-season match where he scored two wonderful goals within fifteen minutes.

But what has happened to have warranted his exist from the emirate stadium? It’s all said in his outburst: had Wenger shown more confidence in me, I’ll have been better! Yet this is the same Wenger that give Ozil 100% confidence even to have desire to sign for Arsenal for free! Hey, before you start question his abilities, here are some stats that showed that he is not a bad player. Compared to Podolski, Walcott, and even Oxlade, he beat them all in dribbling and passes accuracy in spite of his meager 18 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal last season. According to analyst, the fact that he has higher pass accuracy than any other shows he is a better technical player than given credit for. He was only better off by Podolski and Walcott in chance conversion, 33.3% and 22.6% respectively against his  20%, but before you start talking or complaining, that is better than that of Luiz Suarez’s (18%) who Arsenal fruitlessly pursue to sign all summer.

With all the statistics and facts, why did he had to leave Arsenal? He wants to play from the centre as a central attacker, which he has the ability to do as statistic shows with his excellent dribbling ability and fearlessness in facing the boldest of defenders, best portrayed against the European Champion’s winner, Bayern, at the quarter final stage on the return leg, but Wenger, the manager, think other wise! He didn’t have that trust in him to play the lead in the attack from the central position. (What Walcott had to seriously consider and iron out with Wenger before signing another contract for the club under the manager). Since such chances are not available for him, so instead of managing it, Gervinho decided to look for the Wenger that will believe in him as Ozil did leaving Madrid.

Because someone has help someone does not mean that same person will be of help to you too. You have to understand that what works for A will not work for B exactly. The person with the right shape and attitude toward you might not be to you brother, because you are never the same plus other factors.

Wenger: his choice too bad for Gervinho
This might a secret to avoiding and minimizing sibling’s rivalry in parenting. Each child has legal right to equal love, care and attention from their parent but they will never have it in equal terms. This is as a result of so many variables. It isn’t the fault of the parents as such, though they should know better. That’s why it’s possible to have a parent that help child A’s potential to reach its fullness, might find it hard to even support child B ordinary. So therefore parents, don’t be as Wenger, whom to Mesut is an angel and to Gervinho a devil, but always seek to make all your children feel as Ozil felt… nothing makes their success sure and faster!

But if you happen not to be child A, as a child B, you should not be angry with anyone, but go and find those that will believe and trust your abilities. People that are ready to give you more than enough chances to make mistakes and to learn from them and yet build you up to the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness, no minding how long or how hard that will shake them.

My point here is, those that support A to succeed might just not recognize the success instinct in you or are not ready or willing to do just that for you, no bad feelings guy! Just move ahead, surely there are always others that can help you. Those that are ready to be patient enough with you, or worse still, to put up with you. No matter the company or corporation, the post or position, if you don’t have their trust, that show they weren’t the Wenger your Mesut wants, therefore you’ve got to move on if you want to ever have a date with destiny!

In your relationships, NEVER entertain sticking with people that making you feel like a mistake makes their day the sweetest. Break, and break away fast! No one is without a talent, so no one is without its usefulness, so if you are made to feel as if you have to do more to be ACCEPTED then its time to let go, you must be accepted before you can do more based on the trust gained!

Do you know that if you have no one else now to believe in you, there someone who believes in you?  Because he knows you and knows the potential you carry he promised he will never lose that faith, and so far he has been faithful. But the hurts we have experienced in life, are they not hindering us from totally trusting His love? Are we not finding it difficult to believe that He is going to do us good at all times, all our lives? (Proverb 31:12; Jeremiah 29:11). The most saddening thing is that, He trusts us! He believes in us, even when we did not believe in ourselves! Yet, we don’t replicate that trust back to Him. Are you secure in the love of God?

GOD IS THE BEST UNCHANGING ARSENAL YOU NEED WHEN PEOPLE BEHAVE LIKE REAL MADRID!
